Samples of Questions for
Craig Kimbrough
The Question:
You say that
God is with me. I have a question. I went out last night with a
girl that I said that I would never go out with again. I told
myself it would be alright this time because there was a group of
us. It would not be like a date. While we were out, I kept
getting calls and text messages from other girls the whole time.
This never happens. I should have known that somehow I would end
up being paired off with her. Before the night was over, I had a
terrible headache. I said to myself, “I don't believe it! Now I
have a headache. I never get headaches.” After a while I decided
that I had to end this date. As soon as I made up my mind my
headache began to leave. Once again, I couldn't believe it. My
question is was that an example of God being with me?
The Answer:
Yes that was
a very good example. The unusual amount of calls and text messages
from other possible dates was God's way of telling you that you
could be out with these other girls on a date that you would enjoy.
The headache was another message from God and the Universe telling
you that you were violating your inner feelings, and moving against
the deeper wishes of your soul. Just in case you did not get that
message, the headache leaving as soon as you thought about being
true to yourself was another sign and confirmation. The farther we
move on the spiritual and meditative path the harder it is to go
against the deeper wishes of our soul. The consequences also get
bigger for not being true to ourselves. This is a good thing. As
we advance, if we pay attention, the Universe will make us be true
to our soul and spirit regardless of social duties, etc.
The Question:
What if I
meditate regularly, embrace my situation and all it's components completely,
look for the lesson in it, and the situation still doesn't change or
improve?
The Answer:
You can't both want the
situation to improve, change or be different and embrace it at the same
time. You have to say to yourself that it is great just the way it is and
be thankful for it arriving in your life, knowing that it happened to bring
you to better ways of living and understanding if you are open. This is
when the magic occurs. This is when you can see the wonderful lessons and
situations trying to come your way through you experiencing what you
experiencing are at the moment. If you can truly embrace the moment, either
the moment becomes incredibly enjoyable, or the situation miraculously
changes, because you have changed.
It's is a good idea to
meditate often, listen to and watch uplifting material and do all you can to
remain connected with your deeper self when struggling to embrace what's
going on. Also Thank God or The Universe for all things including this very
moment. The results will surprise you, but it takes work at first.
The Question:
I had a frightening experience that I just can't let go of. During
meditation I felt a feeling in the base of my spine. Powerful
energy was flowing from my spine throughout my body. I heard this
sound that sounded like a freight train. I did not like it.
My head was hurting from pressure. I was feeling heat and cool
sensations. I tried to keep my focus on my breath and not let the
whole thing alarm me too much. Eventually the meditation ended but
I am very concerned and afraid to go within again. I don't want to
be afraid of meditating, because I had wonderful experiences in the past
that felt very good and peaceful. I have been reading about
awakening kundalini. Have you had any experience with this?
Is this what is happening to me?
The Answer:
What you are describing only happens to the extent you are describing
when certain things are done. Yes it sounds like the very early stages
of awakening ‘kundalini’. Yes, I do have experience with this.
I have had people come to me after having some problems with this.
Some were from other meditation schools and others who tried meditation
with out proper instruction. This never happens with the type of meditation that we do unless you
alter it and mix it with another method of meditation. It
is easy to fix. Yes, I also began awakening kundalini early back when I
first began to meditate. I was doing a meditation without a
teacher or proper instruction at the time called
///////. Soon afterwards I met my teacher and he taught me to
meditate instead in the same way as on the download I offer from
Meditative Zone. These are the things that can cause such problems as you describe:
headaches, etc,
Some of the things you mentioned were not bad at
all. Feeling the soul rising is good but not from the spine up. Only
from the brow and top of the head up is good. This keeps your
attention on the upper centers. The inner sounds loud is not
bad unless it is from the left or very unpleasant.
Something you mentioned concerned me. You mentioned staying with the
breath. Forget about the breath. Thinking about breath can keep your
attention on lower centers. The only thing you should do with breath at
all is as you say the mantra, say each syllable as you breath as on the
download. Your attention should stay in the brow and the top of the
head only, and of course on the inner sound. If you find that saying the
mantra as you breath naturally is keeping your mind on breath, then just
say the mantra to yourself and forget the breath all together. The
breathing and mantra will regulate themselves naturally in time
anyway. I will send you a copy of my lesson How To
Meditate at no charge, just in case you lost yours or do not have
one. Try this and let me know how it works.
